Description

During one of the lulls in the fighting, we got a chance to fire off a full auto MP-40, loaded with blanks of course. The really interesting part about it was that it was a WWII original, brought out of a museum. It was a joy to shoot.

It's interesting that after all these years, the MP40 is still the most controllable full auto SMG out there. Constant recoil blowback action, slow rate of fire and soft spring tension gives it softer recoil impulses than even the most advanced SMGs today including the Kriss Vector. It's such a shame the design principles behind the MP40 were so quickly forgotten after WW2; perhaps its constant recoil action took up too much space when sheer compactness is a requirement.
